We are very proud to be involved with Mount Pleasant Junior School’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal this year. By donating one of our Brush-Baby Flossbrushes to each of the 340 students’ boxes, we hope to help everyone who receives a box to have the benefit of clean teeth this year.
The Shoebox Appeal is a charitable initiative from the Samaritans Purse, designed to provide children from disadvantaged backgrounds and orphanages around the world with a few home comforts during the festive period.
It’s become a yearly addition to Mount Pleasant Junior School calendar, and the generosity of the households within the local community continues to amaze us, so we are very happy to get involved this year with the addition of our dental products.
The schools’ value for this term is ‘compassion’, so the Christmas Shoebox Appeal resonates perfectly with the children's learning - to give to others who are in need. We think this is a particularly important value for everyone, young and old.
The content and design of each box is down to the discretion of the person creating it, but will typically contain an item of clothing, a toy and variety of small items, including our Brush-Baby FlossBrushes this year!
It’s with thanks to Mrs Wilson, a year 3 parent, that we were invited to help out with the Mount Pleasant Junior School’s Christmas appeal this year.
Mr Lant from Mount Pleasant Junior School says: “We are extremely grateful to Brush-Baby for their generous donation of toothbrushes. The Shoebox Appeal is a wonderful initiative and we are fortunate that parents, pupils and local businesses have come together within the local community, to make a huge difference to the lives of those less fortunate.”
We sincerely hope the rest of the appeal goes phenomenally well, and that all the children who receive the boxes have a wonderful Christmas.
